TURNING MY IMAGINATION INTO A REALITY
Steph Bourazanis is a London based photographer, specialising in Fashion, Editorial, and Product photography.
Steph has experience working as Lead Fashion Photographer for two designers STAFFONLY and PRONOUNCE represented by GQ China. Therefore delevoping her skills she chose to work for different companies around London within the product and fashion lifestyle, extending her skills as a product photographer photographing a variety of interesting jewellery.
However, it has not always been Fashion and product photography for Steph, she has always had a passion for surreal and abstract work. Steph creates everyday images she has taken and turning it into an imaginative piece of work; through ideas and vision she could see by her observation within her mind.
Her most popular abstract work 'The Unknown' has taken her on two international exhibitions, including being nominated and winning FESPA 'Young Star Awards 2018'.
Being introduced to photography during her teenage years, she first drew inspiration from David Bailey, for then deciding to experience fashion collaborations projects throughout college in 2013-2014.
Studying work from Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Allison Scarpulla and Man Ray in 2013 - 14, Steph started to visualise a new beginning in photography and fine art.
Experimenting with digital, 35mm colour and double exposures, Steph has worked on different fine art projects for herself which then developed into falling in love with abstraction.
"Abstract has always been a way for me to express my imagination and turn this imagination into a reality that viewers can see right in front of them.
I always had an interest on seeing how people visualise a photograph or an artwork so differently, what makes their imagination different to mine? I started to work with objects that I visioned as something else in my imagination, turning that into a reality onto a print. I loved hearing and seeing what other viewers thought each image could be, it was so fascinating to see each individual look deep into their imagination by looking at my work. That's what means the most to me."
Steph has continued focusing on abstract, travel and fashion photography as this has always been such a huge part of her life. She has always loved exploring new locations, people and objects and therefore capturing that moment forever.
